The imageCLASS X LBP1871 is the faster of the two models in Canon's LBP1800 series and the fastest desktop printer in the imageCLASS line: 75 pages a minute in black-and-white, a first print in about 4.9 seconds, and a recommended monthly volume of 5,000 to 30,000 pages. It is built for workgroups in an office environment that run large print jobs and want them finished quickly from a machine that still fits on a desk. The LBP1861 is the same printer at 65 pages a minute.
The LBP1800 series prints at up to 1200 × 1200 dpi with UFR II, PCL 6, and Adobe PostScript 3 standard, two-sided printing out of the box, and warm-up from power-on or sleep in 2 seconds or less. Paper capacity starts at 650 sheets and grows to 4,300 with 550-sheet Paper Feeder PF-J1 units and the 2,000-sheet Paper Deck Unit PD-H1, with a 500-sheet output tray to match. Print from Windows, iOS, and Android devices with AirPrint, Mopria, Universal Print, or the Canon PRINT Business app; Wi-Fi and Gigabit Ethernet are both standard. The T03 toner is rated for up to 51,500 pages.
A five-line LCD with keypad handles setup, and the security platform matches Canon's larger office machines: documents are held in short-term memory only, Verify System at Startup checks firmware at boot, McAfee Embedded Control uses whitelisting to block malware and tampering while the machine runs, and an audit log feeds SIEM tools. imageWARE Enterprise Management Console pushes security settings to every device on the network.

A 550-sheet cassette and 100-sheet multipurpose tray standard. Add 550-sheet Paper Feeder PF-J1 units and the 2,000-sheet Paper Deck Unit PD-H1 to reach 4,300 sheets, with a 500-sheet output tray to catch it all.
About 17 inches wide and 18 inches deep at 48.5 pounds. With the optional 2K paper deck pedestal it becomes a floor-standing unit with the same footprint.
AirPrint, Mopria, Canon PRINT Business, Universal Print, and optional uniFLOW Online. Wi-Fi and Gigabit Ethernet are both standard, with dual-network support.
McAfee Embedded Control uses whitelisting to block unrecognized malware and tampering of firmware and applications while the machine runs. Verify System at Startup checks integrity at boot, and an audit log feeds your SIEM.
