Privacy Policy

American Business Copiers respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit americanbusinesscopiers.com or work with our team, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it short and in plain English because that's how we'd want it explained to us.

The Short Version

At a glance.

The four things most people want to know, before the fine print. The full policy below is the version that counts.

  • We only collect what you give us

Name, email, phone, company, and your message when you contact us — plus the routine technical data every website receives.

  • We never sell your information

Your details are used to respond to you and support your account. They are not sold, rented, or traded — ever.

  • Remote sessions are consent-only

Remote support runs only on a one-time code you read to us, and access ends the moment the session closes.

  • You stay in control

Ask us to correct, export, or delete your information at any time. A real person handles every request.

Information we collect

We collect information in two ways: what you choose to share with us, and what your browser sends automatically when you visit any website.

  • Information you provide — when you submit our contact form, request service, call or email us, or become a customer, we collect the details you share, such as your name, email address, phone number, company name, and the content of your message or request.
  • Customer and service records — if you lease, purchase, or have equipment serviced through us, we keep the business records needed to support you: equipment serial numbers, service history, meter readings, supply orders, and billing information.
  • Technical information — like most websites, our hosting platform automatically logs standard details such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and the date and time of your visit. This helps us keep the site secure and understand how it's used.
2

How we use your information

We use the information we collect for ordinary business purposes, including to:

  • Respond to your questions, quotes, and service requests.
  • Schedule and perform equipment installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Manage your account, deliver supplies, and process billing.
  • Provide remote technical support when you request it.
  • Improve our website, services, and customer experience.
  • Protect the security of our website, systems, and customers.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
3

Contact form submissions

When you send a message through our website, the information you enter is stored securely on our website platform so our team can review and respond to it. We use a simple anti-spam check on the form; it does not track you and is not shared with anyone.

We use the details you submit only to reply to you and follow up on your request. If you become a customer, those details may be added to your account record.

4

Remote support sessions

Our remote support page lets you download a session tool that connects your computer to a technician. Sessions are strictly consent-based: nothing connects until you download the tool, run it, and read the one-time session code to a member of our team by phone.

You can watch everything the technician does during the session and end it at any time. When the session closes, access ends completely — there is no standing connection, and the tool does not remain running in the background. We do not use remote sessions to copy or retain your personal files.

5

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses only the cookies necessary for it to function, along with basic, aggregated analytics that help us understand which pages are useful. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

Some pages embed third-party content — for example, a Google Maps view of our office location. Those providers may set their own cookies according to their own privacy policies when the embedded content loads. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them will not prevent you from using this site.

6

How we share information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only in the limited situations below, and only as much as is necessary:

  • Service providers — trusted vendors who help us run our business, such as our website hosting platform, email provider, remote support software, and billing tools. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
  • Equipment manufacturers — as an authorized Canon dealer, we may share equipment and service details with Canon for warranty, registration, and support purposes.
  • Legal requirements — when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our company, our customers, or others.
  • Business transfers — if our business is ever sold or merged, customer records may transfer to the new owner under the same protections described here.
7

How we protect your information

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect the information we hold, including secure hosting, encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and limiting who on our team can see customer records.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't promise absolute security — but we work hard to protect your information and will notify you as required by law if we ever become aware of a breach affecting it.

8

How long we keep information

We keep contact form submissions long enough to respond and follow up, and customer records for as long as you remain a customer plus the period required for tax, warranty, and legal purposes. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.

9

Your choices and rights

You're always in control of the information you share with us. At any time, you can:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you.
  • Request that we correct or update your information.
  • Request that we delete your information, subject to records we're legally required to keep.
  • Opt out of any marketing communications by replying to the message or contacting us directly.

To make a request, contact us using the details at the bottom of this page. We'll verify your identity and respond within 4 business hours.

10

Children's privacy

Our website and services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

12

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. When we do, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of our website after a change means you accept the updated policy.
