About the imageFORCE C1743F

The imageFORCE C1743F is the 45-page-per-minute model in Canon's C1700 series — a color A4 multifunction printer for small and mid-size workgroups that need print, copy, scan, send, and fax in one compact device. Introduced in October 2026, it replaces the Color imageCLASS X MF1333C and brings the imageFORCE platform, security, and 7-inch touchscreen interface to the desktop class. The C1752F is the same machine unlocked to 55 ppm by a speed license; the C1743P is the print-only version.

The 100-sheet single-pass duplex document feeder scans both sides of a page at up to 200 images per minute and sends searchable PDFs, PDF/A, or editable Word and PowerPoint files to email, folders, USB, mobile devices, or the cloud. Print from Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, and Chrome OS devices with AirPrint, Mopria, Universal Print, or the Canon PRINT app — no driver required. Paper capacity starts at 650 sheets (a 550-sheet cassette plus a 100-sheet multipurpose tray) and grows to 2,300 sheets with optional cassettes, handling stock to 80 lb cover and sizes up to 8-1/2 × 14.

Security matches the larger imageFORCE models: Verify System at Startup, Automatic System Recovery, Trellix™ Embedded Control, FIPS 140-3 TLS 1.3 and IPsec, two-factor authentication, and Microsoft Entra ID login are all standard. Fax is built in with a 30,000-page memory, and optional uniFLOW Online adds secure print release and cost tracking.

  • 45 ppm with a fast first page

    Prints and copies at up to 45 pages per minute in color or black-and-white, with a first print in about 8 seconds and a 4-second quick startup. The same engine can be unlocked to 55 ppm with the C1752F speed license, so the device can grow with the office.

  • 100-sheet single-pass duplex scanning

    Both sides of a page in one pass at up to 200 images per minute to email, network folders (SMB, FTP, SFTP, WebDAV), USB, mobile devices, or uniFLOW Online as searchable PDF, PDF/A, or editable Word and PowerPoint files. Super G3 fax is standard.

  • Up to 2,300 sheets, Legal size

    A 550-sheet cassette and 100-sheet multipurpose tray standard; add Cassette Module-AL1 units or the Cassette Feeding Unit-BA1 to reach 2,300 sheets. Runs stock from 16 lb bond to 80 lb cover, plus envelopes, labels, and postcards up to 8-1/2 × 14.

  • Print from any device

    AirPrint, Mopria, IPP Everywhere, Canon PRINT, and Universal Print print without a driver install; UFR II, PCL 6, and PostScript 3 are standard. Gigabit Ethernet and wireless LAN are both built in, with dual-network operation supported.

  • Security designed into the device

    Verify System at Startup and Automatic System Recovery protect the firmware, Trellix™ Embedded Control whitelists what can run, and TLS 1.3 and IPsec are FIPS 140-3 validated. Secure Print and Forced Hold keep jobs at the device until the owner signs in by PIN, picture, card, password, or mobile; Microsoft Entra ID login is supported.

  • One interface across the whole lineup

    A 7-inch tiltable color touchscreen with the same icon-based layout as every other imageFORCE model, so anyone trained on one device can run another. Settings can be customized by an administrator to simplify daily tasks.

  • Low-impact by design

    ENERGY STAR® certified and rated EPEAT Bronze, with a 1.5 W sleep mode and a typical electricity consumption of 0.52 kWh per week. All-in-one Toner 1009 cartridges yield 18,700 black and 12,000 color impressions.
