Overview
The imagePROGRAF PRO-6600 is the 60-inch flagship of Canon's PRO Series, the professional line marked by the same bold red line as Canon's L-series lenses. It carries the full 11-color plus Chroma Optimizer LUCIA PRO II ink set in 330 ml tanks and includes the Multifunction Roll Unit as standard, so it runs two front-loading rolls or one roll with a take-up reel out of the box. It is the model for a lab that produces the largest photographic and fine-art prints continuously.
The newly reformulated LUCIA PRO II ink produces vivid color with more accurate reproduction and improved black density than its predecessors, giving a wide dark-color gamut for deep blacks and detailed gradations in black-and-white work. Prints have high scratch resistance and excellent light resistance for long-term preservation. Built-in color calibration keeps output consistent over time and across multiple PRO Series printers.
Intelligent media handling feeds rolls automatically and detects media type, width, and length with less processing time than previous PRO models. Translucent covers show ink tanks and loaded media, an interior LED lights the output while printing, and the touchscreen shows ink and media levels on the home screen. Professional Print and Layout handles photo layout and color management from Photoshop and Lightroom, Free Layout Plus and Accounting Manager are included, and the printer is EPEAT Gold registered and ENERGY STAR certified.
