imagePROGRAF GP-4600SA 44-inch 7-color production printer for signage and advertising, with a second-roll option.
Best for: Sign shops and print providers producing posters, POP displays, and advertising at 44-inch width
Overview
The imagePROGRAF GP-4600S is the 44-inch model in Canon's GP S production series, built around the newly developed 7-color LUCIA PRO II ink system. It ships with a full set of 330 ml tanks, prints from one front-loading roll, and takes the optional RU-43 Multifunction Roll Unit as a second roll or take-up reel when you need to run unattended. It is the right fit for a shop that wants production speed and PANTONE coverage without stepping up to 60-inch width.
LUCIA PRO II ink delivers more accurate color and improved black density than its predecessors, with a large gamut in dark areas, high scratch resistance, and light-resistant pigments for longer-lasting prints. The Orange and Matte Black inks carried over from the GP-4000 and GP-2000 sharpen vivid, eye-catching output, and the set reaches 96 percent of the PANTONE Formula Guide Solid and Coated. Built-in color calibration keeps output consistent over time and across multiple GP S Series printers.
Intelligent media handling feeds rolls automatically and detects media type, width, and length with less processing time than previous PRO S models. Translucent covers show ink tanks and loaded media, an interior LED lights the output while printing, ink tanks hot-swap, and the touchscreen shows ink and media levels on the home screen. Professional Print and Layout, Free Layout Plus, and Accounting Manager are included, and the printer is EPEAT Gold registered and ENERGY STAR certified.

Included with every system
The imagePROGRAF GP-4600S is the same everywhere. What's different is the 44 years of local service behind it.
We deliver, unbox, place, and connect the device to your network and every workstation that needs it. You print the first page before we leave.
A Canon-certified technician walks your staff through the panel, scanning workflows, and the everyday things that generate service calls when nobody explains them.
Supplies ship before you run out, based on your device's own meter readings. Genuine Canon consumables only, so your warranty and image quality stay intact.
Local technicians dispatched from our office in Old Hickory, not a national ticket queue. Average response is under four hours.
Lease, rent, or buy. Separate color and mono cost-per-page, no hidden escalators, and a person who answers questions about the contract by name.
The same person from proposal through the life of the system. They know your account, your volumes, and when it's time to talk about what's next.
Call, email, or send a message — whichever is easiest for you. We'll take it from there.
