About the imageRUNNER 1643P

The imageRUNNER 1643P is the single-function printer in Canon's imageRUNNER 1643 series — a 45-page-per-minute black-and-white A4 desktop printer built for small businesses and workgroups that want fast, dependable output and easy fleet management without paying for copy or scan. It delivers a first print in about 5.7 seconds, wakes from sleep in 3 seconds, and takes the same 550-sheet feeders as its multifunction siblings for up to 2,300 sheets.

The imageRUNNER 1643 series prints at 600 × 600 dpi with a 20,500-page toner cartridge for a low cost per page. UFR II LT, PCL 5e/6, and Adobe PostScript 3 are standard on the 1643P, along with direct printing from USB memory. Print from Windows, Mac, and mobile devices through the network; wireless LAN is not standard on this model.

A 3.5-inch 5-line LCD panel handles settings, and imageWARE Enterprise Management Console monitors supplies and alerts you when service is needed. Secure Print, IPsec, TLS, and IEEE 802.1X are standard, and the device has no hard disk, so confidential information isn't stored locally.
