Overview
The Color imageCLASS X LBP1538C II is the print-only model in Canon's 1538C II series — a 40-page-per-minute color desktop laser printer for small to mid-size workgroups in an office. It shares the engine, paper handling, and security platform of the MF1538C II multifunction in a lighter unit with a five-line LCD, and delivers a first print in about 6.3 seconds with warm-up from power-on in 2 seconds or less. It is rated for 2,000 to 10,000 pages a month.
The 1538C II series prints at up to 1200 × 1200 dpi with UFR II, PCL 6, PCL 5, and Adobe PostScript 3 standard and two-sided printing out of the box, and prints direct from USB memory, the Remote UI, or a network folder. Print from Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android devices with AirPrint, Mopria, Universal Print, or the Canon PRINT Business app; Wi-Fi and Gigabit Ethernet are both standard. Paper capacity starts at 650 sheets and grows to 2,300 with optional 550-sheet Paper Feeder PF-D1 units, and the T10 toners are rated for up to 13,000 pages black and 10,000 each color.
Documents are held in short-term memory only, Verify System at Startup checks firmware at boot and recovers automatically, Trellix Embedded Control blocks malware and tampering while the machine runs, and an audit log feeds SIEM tools. uniFLOW Online Express is included for PIN or card login, and imageWARE Enterprise Management Console pushes security settings to every device on the network.
Key features
A first color page in about 6.3 seconds and 40 pages a minute in color or black-and-white at up to 1200 × 1200 dpi, with warm-up from power-on in 2 seconds or less. Rated for 2,000 to 10,000 pages a month.
About 18 inches square at 63.9 pounds. Add the Cassette Feeding Unit-AV1 or Cabinet Type-P to make it floor-standing once paper feeders are added.
Direct print PDF, TIFF, JPEG, and XPS files from USB memory or a network folder, and PDF, EPS, TIFF, JPEG, and XPS from the Remote UI, without a driver.
AirPrint, Mopria, Canon PRINT Business, Universal Print, and optional uniFLOW secure mobile printing. Wi-Fi and Gigabit Ethernet are both standard, with dual-network support.
Trellix Embedded Control uses whitelisting to block malware and tampering while the machine runs. Verify System at Startup checks firmware at boot and recovers automatically, and an audit log feeds your SIEM.
A 550-sheet cassette and 100-sheet stack bypass standard; add up to three 550-sheet Paper Feeder PF-D1 units on Cabinet Type-P, or two on the Cassette Feeding Unit-AV1. The bypass handles stock to 58 lb bond.
Included with every system
The Color imageCLASS X LBP1538C II is the same everywhere. What's different is the 44 years of local service behind it.
We deliver, unbox, place, and connect the device to your network and every workstation that needs it. You print the first page before we leave.
A Canon-certified technician walks your staff through the panel, scanning workflows, and the everyday things that generate service calls when nobody explains them.
Supplies ship before you run out, based on your device's own meter readings. Genuine Canon consumables only, so your warranty and image quality stay intact.
Local technicians dispatched from our office in Old Hickory, not a national ticket queue. Average response is under four hours.
Lease, rent, or buy. Separate color and mono cost-per-page, no hidden escalators, and a person who answers questions about the contract by name.
The same person from proposal through the life of the system. They know your account, your volumes, and when it's time to talk about what's next.
Call, email, or send a message — whichever is easiest for you. We'll take it from there.
