Overview
The imageCLASS X MF1643iF II is the fax-equipped model in Canon's MF1643 II series — a 45-page-per-minute black-and-white desktop multifunction printer for small to mid-size workgroups in an office or home environment that are part of an organization's print fleet. It prints, copies, scans, sends, and faxes, with Adobe PostScript 3 standard. First print is about 5.6 seconds, first copy about 6 seconds, and it wakes from sleep in 4 seconds. The MF1643i II is the same machine without fax.
The MF1643 II series prints at up to 1200 dpi equivalent with UFR II and PCL standard, two-sided printing out of the box, and direct print from USB memory. The single-pass duplex feeder scans both sides of a page at up to 70 images per minute to email, network folders, or USB as searchable, compact, encrypted, or digitally signed PDF, and with uniFLOW Online can scan directly into Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, and Evernote. Print from Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android devices with AirPrint, Mopria, or the Canon PRINT app; Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, and Gigabit Ethernet are all standard. Paper capacity starts at 650 sheets and grows to 2,300 with up to three optional 550-sheet cassettes, and the T06 toner is rated for up to 20,500 pages.
The 5-inch color touchscreen can be customized by an administrator, and Application Library adds one-touch buttons for ID card copy, passport copy, scan-to-preset, and cloud apps. Documents are held in short-term memory only, Verify System at Startup checks firmware and Application Library at boot, a Send-to-Myself-Only restriction limits distribution, and imageWARE Enterprise Management Console pushes security settings to every device on the network.
