About the imageFORCE 4145
The imageFORCE 4145 is the 45-page-per-minute model in Canon's 4100 series — the top of the range, for small to mid-size offices where the copier runs most of the day. Introduced in May 2026, the 4100 series is the black-and-white counterpart to the color C3100 series and the successor to the imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX 4900 series, bringing the imageFORCE imaging engine, 10.1-inch touchscreen, Unified Firmware Platform, and security stack to monochrome A3 printing.
Canon's D² Exposure technology uses OLED solid-state imaging to reach 4800 × 2400 dpi, with sharp text and deep, uniform black-and-white tones. Scanning is full color: with the optional 200-sheet Single Pass DADF-E1, both sides of a page are captured at up to 270 images per minute and sent as searchable PDFs or editable Word and PowerPoint files to email, folders, USB, or the cloud. Print from Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, and Chrome OS devices with AirPrint, Mopria, Universal Print, or the Canon PRINT app — no driver required. Paper capacity starts at 1,200 sheets and grows to 6,350 with optional cassettes and decks; the lower cassette and multipurpose tray handle stock up to 12 × 18, and a long-sheet tray option runs banners to 47.25 inches.
Every imageFORCE model shares the same touchscreen interface and Canon's Unified Firmware Platform, so the device keeps gaining features through regular updates. Print, copy, scan, send, and store are standard; fax (up to four lines) is optional, as is uniFLOW Online for cloud print management and cost tracking.

What it does well
45 ppm black-and-white with A3 paper handling
Prints and copies at up to 45 pages per minute on Letter, with 11 × 17 and 12 × 18 from the lower cassette and multipurpose tray. The 4100 series shares one engine; the 4145, 4135, and 4125 differ only in licensed speed, so the device can be upgraded as volume grows.
D² Exposure imaging at 4800 dpi
OLED solid-state exposure delivers 4800 × 2400 dpi resolution with sharp, uniform text and deep black-and-white tones — the same imaging technology as Canon's color imageFORCE models, tuned for monochrome output.
Color scanning up to 270 ipm
Black-and-white printing doesn't limit scanning: with the Single Pass DADF-E1 (200 sheets), both sides of a page are captured in one pass at up to 270 images per minute in full color. Scans go to email, network folders, USB, mobile devices, or the cloud as searchable PDF, PDF/A, or editable Word and PowerPoint files. A 100-sheet DADF-F1 (120 ipm) or a platen cover are the alternatives.
Print from any device
AirPrint, Mopria, IPP Everywhere, Canon PRINT, Universal Print, and the optional Cloud Connector — phones, tablets, and laptops print without a driver install. PCL, PostScript 3, and UFR II are standard.
Security designed into the device
Secure Print and Forced Hold keep jobs at the device until the owner signs in by PIN, password, picture, card, or mobile. Security Environment Estimation recommends settings for your network, Verify System at Startup checks firmware for tampering with automatic recovery, storage is encrypted to FIPS 140-3, Trellix™ Embedded Control whitelists what can run, and SIEM integration feeds your monitoring.
