Overview
The imagePROGRAF TX-4300 is the 44-inch production model in Canon's TX Series, built for businesses that print line drawings, renderings, posters, and signage in volume and need more than 36 inches of width. It comes in two versions. The TX-4300 is a printer. The TX-4310 MFP Z36 pairs the same printer with Canon's high-volume Z36 scanner and SmartWorks MFP software on a 15.6-inch touchscreen all-in-one PC, mounted on an MFP stand. Both print up to 3.3 D-size pages a minute on media 6 to 44 inches wide, and both are sold with either the TX Stacker, which holds up to 100 D-size sheets of plain paper, or a multi-positional flat stacking basket.
The five-color LUCIA TD pigment ink set includes an updated Matte Black for crisper lines, sharper text, and vibrant posters on plain paper. Unlike the 36-inch TX-3300, the TX-4300 ships with a full set of 330 ml tanks in every color, and you can mix and match 160, 330, and 700 ml replacements; gravity-fed sub tanks use virtually every drop and can be changed while printing. Canon's L-COA PRO controller keeps large files moving, non-firing nozzle detection and compensation protects line quality, and lines are accurate to ±0.1% down to a 0.02 mm minimum weight. Intelligent media handling finds the leading edge and feeds the roll for you, and the optional RU-44 Multifunction Roll Unit adds a second roll or a take-up reel.
On the TX-4310 MFP Z36, the Z36 scans originals up to 38 inches wide and 1 mm thick at up to 1,200 dpi, at up to 13 inches per second in monochrome and 3 in color, and copies in color at 6 inches per second. SmartWorks MFP handles scan to copy, file, and email in TIFF, JPEG, and PDF, with a real-time image viewer for deskewing, cropping, and brightness adjustments before printing. Both versions have a 256 GB encrypted hard drive with secure erase, plus Secure Boot, TLS 1.3, SNMPv3, 802.1X, a secure event log, pattern printing, and PIN code authorization.

Buying guide
The imagePROGRAF TX-4300 is for print rooms and firms that need 44-inch output in volume: architecture, engineering, construction, and manufacturing design teams printing E-size sets and site plans, government agencies and universities, and professional print shops producing large posters and signage alongside drawings. Its full set of 330 ml tanks, 700 ml option, TX Stacker, and optional second roll keep long runs moving with fewer interruptions.
Choose the TX-4310 MFP Z36 if your team also scans and copies drawings; note that the Z36 scans up to 36 inches wide, so it covers D- and E-size originals while the printer outputs up to 44 inches. If 36 inches is wide enough, the TX-3300 series is the same design about 8 inches narrower. If color accuracy for brand graphics matters more than drawing throughput, compare the 11-color GP-4000.
The TX-3300 and TX-3310 MFP Z36 are the 36-inch versions of the TX-4300 and TX-4310, with the same 3.3 D-size speed, Z36 option, and stacker choices; they are about 8 inches narrower and ship with 160 ml color tanks instead of a full set of 330 ml.
See the Canon imagePROGRAF TX-3300 / TX-3310 MFP Z36Both print 44 inches wide. The GP-4000 uses 11 inks, including Fluorescent Pink, for 99 percent PANTONE coverage on brand graphics, while the TX-4300 uses five LUCIA TD inks tuned for crisp CAD lines, prints 3.3 D-size pages a minute, and offers a TX Stacker and Z36 scanner version.
See the Canon imagePROGRAF GP-4000The TZ-32000 runs two rolls as standard and prints up to 4 D-size pages a minute but tops out at 36 inches; the TX-4300 trades a little speed for 44-inch width, with a second roll available through the optional RU-44.
